Originally, this blog started as a place for me to post the recipes that I inherited from my grandmother for family members to use and share. It has since evolved into a place for me to post recipes (inherited or not, some even created by me) and to follow the evolution of my drawing ability. I still plan on occasionally posting more crafty types of things, but for now it will mainly be a mixture of recipes and drawings.
The organizing and categorizing of posts is an on going process right now. Not all will be available through the tabs... so, sorry about that.

My name isn't Neniell, but I like using that name for internet things. I made it while studying Sindarin (a language from LotR). Neniell means "water maiden".
I have a BS and an MS in Pure Mathematics. During the schooling for both of those I studied Linguistics as well.
Since graduation a lot has changed in my life. I taught math at a community college for a year. I moved from Ohio to South Carolina for a new job. I discovered that I'm sensitive to dairy (possibly somewhat allergic). I have, most importantly, developed an addiction to chips and salsa.

I have a dog and a cat. (It used to be a dog and two cats. I have the same dog, but a different cat now. The original two cats are with my parents.) I used to make things for them and shared them on this blog. Maybe I'll do that again some day.
